In the teaching and learning process, textbooks remain among the most important educational tools. If the development of educational resources is based on scientific approaches to curriculum design, it allows for optimal time management and the provision of content tailored to the needs of learners. The article “Persian Language Teaching for Academic Purposes: In Search of Effective Curriculum Design Approaches” examines various curriculum design approaches and then identifies effective approaches for teaching Persian with academic purposes, using the perspectives of Persian language instructors and experts.
The results of this field study indicate that content and language integrated learning (CLIL), content-based, and thematic lesson plans rank first, second, and third, respectively.
